Vinesh Phogat appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport to award her a joint silver medal.
CAS Accepts Plea
On August 7, the CAS accepted the plea of Vinesh Phogat and the case was heard on August 8.
Verdict Postponed
The verdict was supposed to be announced on August 9, but it was postponed till August 11.

On August 11 it was announced that the decision on the Vinesh Phogat verdict was postponed to August 13.
Vinesh Phogat Verdict Postponed For Third Time
Citing Article 18, the CAS postponed the date of the verdict for a third time. The result was supposed to be announced on August 16 at 9.30 PM IST.
Vinesh Phogat's Plea Dismissed
On August 14 it was announced that the CAS had rejected Vinesh Phogat's appeal.
